Teaching position available at Flamingo School for
Senior / FET Phase Educator (Gr 8)

Flamingo School is an independent school in Aliwal North, Eastern Cape. This school is not an ordinary school and is thus looking for an experienced, extra-ordinary educator to join our team.

Flamingo School offers innovative, forward-thinking education to children Grade R to Grade 8. We use the CAPS Curriculum. English is our Home Language and Afrikaans our First Additional Language. The successful candidate will have the necessary skills to prepare students in the Senior phase for the FET Phase. The applicant should be innovative and have an understanding of the 21st century child.

The following criteria is relevant:

  • Relevant teaching experience and qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge of the International CAPS Curriculum
  • The ability to develop new and progressive teaching ideas
  • Strong people skills – work efficiently with management, staff, parents and young children
  • Senior / FET Phase experience
  • A significant level of computer literacy, experience in the inter-active white board system and other technological / robotics systems would be advantageous
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • SACE certificate
  • Sexual offender’s clearance certificate
